Jazz Ain't Dead® Performs Live
Mini Concerts/Lecture Demos for Kids!

Jazz Ain't Dead can custom design a fully narrated performance concert designed just for kids!  Programs include a brief history catering to young minds about the roots of jazz and it's evolution to today's sounds, followed by examples of jazz standards used in children's themed films and cartoons performed live by musicians, singers, and dancers, and fun interactive exercises in the jazz traditions of call and response, scatting, and improvisation.   The show concludes with Jazz Ain't Dead performing an all out, get-down jam fusing a well known classic jazz standard into a live, high-energy house song.  Perfect for Black History month, Diversity presentations, Music Appreciation, and Arts & Culture festivities, shows frequently include six to eight jazz dancers, a tap dancer, a pianist, a bassist, trumpet player, drummer, and a singer.  Click here to book Jazz Ain't Dead at your school today!

Dear Candice,

On behalf of the PS 87 Parents Association, we'd like to thank you for bringing your amazing ensemble to our school this morning and treating our students to two wonderful performances.

We were absolutely wowed by the great skill, beauty, energy and joy of all the performers. This was an assembly the students (and teachers and us parents) will not soon forget. It was enriching, moving, and fun!

Please convey our deepest appreciation to all of your stellar dancers and musicians.  I , for one, will never hear "Black Bird," "Manah Manah," or "Summertime" again without thinking of Jazz Ain't Dead!

All the best,

PS 87 Parents Association
